Meaning:
when God (hari) gave you sufficient (koTTa kAlakke),
(you have) not utilised it properly(uNalilla)
when God (hari) stops giving (koDada kAlakke)
you (prANi) are insist/demanding to have more (bAyi biduveyello)

Hid (hULiTTu) ten thousand (hattu sAvira) gold-coins (honnu)
under dunghill (tippEli)
you (prANi) became a miser even to have/buy little salt(uppillade)
and ate (uMDeyallo) food without salt
you are dead (mRuttike bAyalli)) when those ten thousand coins
vanished (pOpAga) in that dunghill (tippEli)

You (prANi) ate (tiMdello) corns (guggariyannava)
(guggari = fried Bengalgrams)
when you had enough of ghee (tuppa) and rice (huggiyu)
You searched for a small coin (buggeya hoykoMDu)
when all your wealth (heggaLada bhAgya)
was vanishing (pOpAga) in a moment(GaLigEli)

when relatives (neMTariShTaru) were waiting (kuLitire)
in front (muMde) of your house (mane)
you gave (ADideyallo) false excuses (kuMTa suddi)
when servants of Yama (kaMTaka yamanru) started
dragging (kuMThisutteLevAga) you
Hey poor man (prANi), you are left with only relative (naMTA)
that is Shri puraMdaraviThThala
